As part of the Storylines - Q150 Digital Stories project, the State Library of Queensland will create three new digital stories on Big things, Floods and Pubs. The images used in these stories will include photographs submitted by members of the public and images sourced from the State Library's collection.
Big things
With so many big things in Queensland, we can’t hope to document them all ourselves. If you live near the Big Pineapple, apple, crab, bull, shell, stubbie, pelican, peanut, miner, mandarin, cassowary, easel, gumboot, barramundi, Captain Cook or any other disproportionately large object, we want to hear from you.
Floods
When the rains come, everybody dusts off their camera. The tears, the craziness, the mud, the smell and the water. Floods have got it all.
Pubs
Has the local pub on your corner disappeared? Do you have a favourite pub? Queensland pubs have been part of the landscape for many years, we want images that capture the atmosphere of these establishments, inside and out.
